The 24-year-old Nelson, who was a key player for Feyenoord two seasons ago on loan, helping them reach the (ultimately lost) Conference League final, has primarily been warming the bench at Arsenal.
According to The London Evening Standard, Nelson is set to form an attack with Eddie Nketiah and Leandro Trossard in Eindhoven. Aaron Ramsdale is expected to be favored in goal over David Raya, and at the back, eighteen-year-old full-back Reuell Walters is poised for his Champions League debut.
He is likely to join a defense alongside Jakub Kiwior, Gabriel Magalhães, and former PSV player Oleksandr Zinchenko. The midfield, as per reports, will consist of Jorginho, Mohamed Elneny, and Kai Havertz.
Arteta's team is already assured of winning the group. "Technically, we've done our job, but we haven't completely finished our work. As representatives of Arsenal, it's our duty to win every match," the manager said during the press conference on Monday.
The clash between PSV and Arsenal kicks off on Tuesday at 18:45 and will be overseen by German referee Tobias Stieler. As is known, the Eindhoven side is already assured of second place and thus will continue in the Champions League. The draw for the round of 16, where PSV will face a group winner, is scheduled for Monday at 12:00.
Probable Arsenal lineup:
