Dietmar Hamann expressed his frustration on Sky over the comments made by Thomas Tuchel during a supporters' meeting where the Bayern coach revealed his desire to work at a foreign club in the future.

Tuchel specifically mentioned Spain as a potential destination for his managerial career. These remarks came just a day after Xavi Hernández had announced his impending departure from Barcelona.

Hamann remarked, 'Tuchel should concentrate all his attention on Bayern. He is a highly intelligent individual, and these statements cannot be simply brushed off as a mere slip of the tongue. If Tuchel had made such remarks on a TV talk show, we would have questioned, "Can he say that so openly?"' Hamann, who has been critical of Tuchel in recent months, didn't mince his words.

In response, Bayern took the unusual step of issuing a statement through its official channels. The statement clarified that during the supporters' gathering, Tuchel did not discuss the possibility of succeeding Xavi at Barcelona, contrary to what was wrongly claimed later. The statement, attributed to CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen and Sporting Director Christoph Freund, emphasized that they would no longer tolerate such baseless allegations against their coach, particularly when they originate from the same source.

The consequences of these statements were not detailed by the Bayern executives. Dietmar Hamann, a former Bayern player from the 1990s, had a successful five-year stint with the club, winning two league titles with the record German champions.
