Bundesliga club aims to rescue PSV from surplus full-back

Right-back Phillipp Mwene is attracting interest from FSV Mainz 05. The Austrian defender has limited prospects for playing time in Eindhoven, and now the Bundesliga beckons for him.

With Jordan Teze and Shurandy Sambo, the Eindhoven team already has two options for the right-back position, and VI reported on Thursday morning that Sergiño Dest is also prominently on the red and white's radar.

In the four official matches under the guidance of Peter Bosz, the coach from Apeldoorn has not called upon Mwene for a single minute. If Dest does indeed come to Brabant, Mwene will be allowed to leave - until then, PSV is not willing to cooperate.

The 29-year-old wing-back from Vienna joined PSV in 2021 from Mainz as a free transfer. In his two seasons at PSV, he became an international player and won the cup twice. He has played a total of 73 matches in service of the Brabant club.
