Leonardo Bonucci is taking legal action against his former employer, Juventus. The defender was under contract there for twelve years and played more than five hundred matches for the club, but is upset about the way he was pushed out.

Bonucci now plays for Union Berlin. He made a free transfer to the Bundesliga last summer. Juventus informed the Italian that he was no longer in their plans, and as a result, he was not included in the training camp trip to the United States.

Bonucci claims that the club did not treat him well in the lead-up to this season and is demanding compensation for the alleged lack of training and preparation opportunities. This has been reported independently by journalists Fabrizio Romano and Gianluca Di Marzio. Bonucci was denied access to the gym, the pool, and the restaurant. According to the defender, this has resulted in 'professional and reputational damage'.

By the way, for Bonucci, it's not about the money, but it has become a matter of principle for him. Should there be any compensation, he will donate the amount to the charities Neuroland (supports families of children admitted to the Regina Margherita Children's Hospital in Turin) and Live Onlus (donates defibrillators to sports clubs, schools, and municipalities).
