"I am very happy with his contribution," said Arsenal manager Arteta about Jesus after the game at Sky Sports. "These are big games for big players. It’s tough to shine like that on this stage and he has managed to do it. He has come here for a reason and he has changed our world. He gives so much belief and energy to the team. The players can really look up to him. You need players like that."

Ten minutes from time, Jesus had to leave the field with a hamstring injury. "I am definitely worried about that," said Arteta. The striker himself stated that he will soon undergo a scan, which will determine the severity of the injury. However, Jesus himself suspects that it is not too serious. And that would be a huge relief for Arsenal, because Jesus showed his great class on Tuesday.

'The brilliance of Jesus made the difference against Sevilla,' concluded The Telegraph. 'In this team, Jesus is not just a part of Arteta's front line, he is a one-man attack. He drops deep, drifts wide, and can beat a man. It was impossible to say what was more impressive. His assist or his goal.'
