Dembélé is on the verge of leaving Barcelona

RMC reported on Friday that PSG has decided to activate a clause in Ousmane Dembélé's one-year remaining contract with Barcelona. The forward can be acquired for fifty million euros in the month of July; in August, the buyout clause doubles to one hundred million euros. For PSG, this was the opportune moment to make their move.

The French champions have informed Barcelona of their interest in signing Dembélé and, according to the French reports, are in discussions with the player. A personal agreement for the collaboration is close. Dembélé has already expressed to Barcelona that he is open to a transfer.

By signing Dembélé, PSG is not preparing for Kylian Mbappé's departure, as emphasized by RMC. Dembélé will simply be an additional option for the forward line. The Frenchman has played for Barcelona for the past six years, appearing in 185 matches for the club and scoring forty goals.
