German parliament member calls for Mazraoui to be expelled from the country

If Johannes Steiniger has his way, Bayern Munich right-back Noussair Mazraoui will be dismissed by his club and then also expelled from Germany. The prominent German politician is not pleased with an Instagram story from the Netherlands-born Moroccan international.

On the social media platform, Mazraoui shared multiple messages over the weekend in which he sides with Palestine in the war that Hamas is currently waging with neighboring Israel. This has caused significant uproar.

Steiniger, a member of the national parliament of Germany representing the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), would like to see strict measures taken, as he reported on X.

'Bayern, please throw him out immediately. The club, which was labeled a 'Jewish club' by the Nazis, should not let this pass. Germany should use all possible means to send him out of the country,' Steiniger commented about Mazraoui.

According to Kicker, Bayern has scheduled a meeting with Mazraoui on Wednesday. Earlier on Tuesday, another Bundesliga club, FSV Mainz 05, took serious measures against Anwar El Ghazi in a similar situation. The forward has been suspended due to his pro-Palestinian posts on social media.
