"One aspect I need to add to my game is one-touch goals," Madueke told the Daily Mail. For that, he watches a lot of footage of Mbappé and Salah. "Those are the easier goals. So, I try to improve that and work hard on it."
He looks to the illustrious duo because of the speed the stars add to their game, similar to Madueke. "When I come that fast, I sometimes have to find calmness in my head. When I finish, I need to learn to take a deep breath and let go of the speed for a moment. I watch those two a lot because they always find a way to anticipate situations in front of the goal at high speed."
One of the people who cares for Madueke is Cole. The Chelsea icon is an assistant for England's U21s and is busily engaged with his protégé, who has only got 44 minutes of play in the Premier League so far. "Ashley takes a very personal approach to improving my game. I'm exceptionally good in one-on-one situations, but I can score more and give more assists. He's working on that."
"It worked against Serbia, so I'm proud," Madueke concluded satisfiedly. He takes that good feeling to Stamford Bridge. "I've shown what I can do. In a great team, too. I have a lot of confidence in myself and am sure that sooner or later, it will also come out at Chelsea."
