Kylian Mbappé experienced a serious breach of his online presence when his account on the social network X was hacked in the early hours of Thursday.

The unauthorized access led to several provocative posts being made in his name, which caused a stir across social media platforms. Although the issue was promptly addressed and the account restored, the controversial posts had already been screenshotted and shared widely by other users, ensuring their circulation long after the account was secured.

During the brief period when the hacker had control of the account, numerous inflammatory and divisive statements were posted. These posts primarily centered around football but included comments designed to provoke fan bases and stir controversy. One of the most notable messages declared, "Cristiano Ronaldo is the greatest footballer of all time; this dwarf [Lionel Messi] is not my GOAT," sparking a predictable reaction from fans of both players.

Another post read, "Manchester is red," a reference that likely aimed to aggravate Manchester City fans by declaring support for their rivals, Manchester United. Additional posts mocked Tottenham Hotspur, a prominent London football club, with derogatory remarks like "Spurs are 'shit.'" These comments were perceived as targeting fans of Tottenham, causing further division among football supporters.

The hacker also responded to a follower’s query about whether Mbappé would ever return to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), the player’s former club. The response, "F**k no," implied a definitive end to any potential return, adding to the speculation about Mbappé’s future and his relationship with PSG.

Beyond football-related content, the hacker used the platform to make political statements, with posts expressing support for Palestine and criticizing Israel. These posts introduced a different layer of controversy, shifting from sports to geopolitics and drawing reactions from various international communities.

This incident highlights the vulnerability of even high-profile individuals to cybersecurity breaches and underscores the importance of robust security measures on social media platforms. Despite the quick resolution of the hack, the rapid spread of the unauthorized posts illustrates the challenge of controlling narratives once information is released on the internet. For Mbappé, this hack not only caused immediate reputational damage but also showcased the broader implications of cyberattacks in today's digital age.
