"I am delighted to announce that Michael Olise has decided to commit his future to Crystal Palace," Parish wrote. "This afternoon, he signed a new four-year contract."

Chelsea has been quite active in the English transfer market in recent days. After Moisés Caicedo (Brighton & Hove Albion), the acquisition of Romeo Lavia (Southampton) also seems to be a matter of time. However, The Blues have missed out on another target: the 21-year-old Olise. Manchester City also appeared to be in the running for Olise.

Olise, a youth international for France, experienced significant growth at Palace in the past season. The club acquired him two summers ago for 9.3 million euros from Reading. Olise particularly stood out in the previous campaign due to his assists, providing eleven in 37 Premier League appearances.
