With these eleven names from Marseille, Ajax will presumably have to deal

In France, it is expected that interim coach Jacques Abardonado will make few changes compared to the last starting eleven under the departed Marcelino. The team ranked fourth in the French league will face Ajax on Thursday evening, and a solution needs to be found only for the injured Leonardo Balerdi.

Things are very unsettled at Olympique Marseille. They won just one of their last four matches, and coach Marcelino resigned this week, stating he found 'the circumstances unsafe'. Shortly before that, the club's board took a step back. Meanwhile, the world goes on, and the squad is preparing for their Europa League match against Ajax.

Interim coach Abardonado will be without Balerdi, who got injured on Saturday and whom Ajax showed interest in last summer. According to the French newspaper Ouest France, Abardonado has been advised by the club not to make too many changes. Therefore, the probable lineup is only different in a few positions.

Ouest France anticipates that Pau López will be in goal, with Jonathan Clauss, Chancel Mbemba, Samuel Gigot, and Renan Lodi in front of him. This makes Gigot the replacement for Balerdi. The midfield consists of Jordan Veretout, captain Valentin Rongier, and Azzedine Ounahi. Up front, Abardonado has reserved a spot for Iliman Ndiaye, who will be joining Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Vitinha.
